Who we are

Seasons Find Airconditioning (“we”, “us”) is an air conditioning and HVAC contractor based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, and optionally your email address, suburb, property type, the service you need and whatever you write in the message field.

If you phone, email or WhatsApp us, we hold the contact details and information you provide in that conversation.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, browser type and pages requested. These are generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send quotations, arrange and carry out site visits and work, invoice you, and provide warranty and after-sales support. Where you have an ongoing maintenance agreement, we keep service records so we can maintain your equipment properly.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary to do the work: with suppliers when ordering equipment for your job, with subcontractors (such as electricians) assigned to your project, with equipment manufacturers when lodging a warranty claim on your behalf, and with our accountants and our web host in the ordinary course of business. Where the law requires disclosure, we comply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, then deleted. Records relating to completed work are retained for as long as warranty, tax and legal obligations require - generally at least five years.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep, and object to processing in certain circumstances. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. We do not currently use analytics or tracking tools on this website.

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when you view this site.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date.
