Yes - that is how we prefer to do it. We schedule hospitality maintenance for quieter months so rooms are not out of service during peak occupancy, and so anything that needs replacing is found with time to order parts rather than in the middle of a full house.
What do you recommend for guest rooms?
Quiet inverter wall splits with simple controls, sized slightly conservatively so they run longer at lower speed rather than blasting and cycling. Guests notice noise far more than they notice the last degree of cooling. Where ceiling voids allow, concealed ducted units are quieter still and remove the unit from the room entirely.
